On January 22 and 23, light rain may occur in Punjab, Haryana, western Uttar Pradesh, Delhi-NCR and northern Rajasthan.
Fog situation
Dense and very dense fog will prevail in Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh for 2-3 days. There will be light to moderate fog in Delhi-NCR. The morning temperature in Delhi-NCR will be normal and there will be no cold wave. At the same time, the temperature will remain stable in North India, but the effect of fog will be seen in the morning. Fog will be dense in many areas in the morning, where visibility may be limited to 50-200 meters.
Update in the context of Mahakumbh
On the question asked due to Mahakumbh in Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Naresh Kumar clarified that no alert has been issued. The weather will be normal, although there is a possibility of dense fog in the morning. Those participating in the Mahakumbh have been advised to be cautious in the morning due to fog.
