IMD Rain Alert: The effect of rain and strong winds can be seen in Delhi-NCR for the next two days. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of a drop in temperature and return of mild cold due to Western Disturbance. Also, a yellow alert for rain has been issued in 14 areas of Rajasthan including Jhunjhunu, Bharatpur, Nagaur. There is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in many districts of Uttar Pradesh.
IMD Rain Alert: It has been raining heavily since late night in entire North India including Delhi NCR. An increase in temperature has been recorded for the last several days, but will the cold return again after the rain? IMD has released the latest update regarding the weather.
According to the IMD forecast, there is an alert of light to moderate rain in Haryana-Punjab, Delhi-NCR, Noida, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan for the next 2 to 3 days i.e. from 20 to 21 February due to the effect of Western Disturbance.
Will the temperature fall?
At present, the phase of movement of clouds has started. If it rains, there will be a slight drop in temperature, which will once again make you feel cold.
Weather mood changed in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan
If we talk about the weather of UP, then according to IMD, there is a possibility of rain with thunder in many districts of Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of lightning in many districts including Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur Shahjahanpur, Badaun, and Hardoi.
At the same time, due to the activation of Western Disturbance in Rajasthan, light rain may occur in many areas including Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Kota. Also, a yellow alert of rain has been issued in 14 areas including Jhunjhunu, Bharatpur, Nagaur.
Heavy rain alert in north-eastern states
Due to cyclonic circulation, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder in some areas of West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, Sikkim and Manipur. During this time, winds can blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour, due to which the weather will remain very cold.
Orange alert in Himachal and Jammu
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh on Thursday. Orange alert has been issued in Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds and snowfall in high altitude areas in some parts of Uttarakhand on February 20. After the increase in temperature, a fall can be recorded again, due to which the effect of cold will remain.
