Heavy Rain Alert: A cyclonic circulation is formed at lower tropospheric levels in and around central Maharashtra. On April 2, along with lightning (Weather latest news) in Gujarat state and Telangana, strong winds can blow at a speed of 30 to 60 kilometers per hour and heavy rains can occur. There is an alert of rain with strong winds in Central India, Odisha, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada till April 4, and in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala and Karnataka till April 5.

Hailstorms may occur in Central Maharashtra and Marathwada on April 2. Apart from this, hailstorm alert has been issued today and tomorrow in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, South Interior Karnataka, Telangana, North Interior Karnataka till April 4, Jharkhand on April 3, Odisha and Coastal Karnataka on April 3 and 4.

Not only rain, but severe heat is also expected today. Heat wave is likely in some places of Saurashtra and Kutch on April 2. At the same time, heatwave alert is expected in western Rajasthan during April 5 to 7.

The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of increase of 3-5 degree Celsius in maximum temperature in North-West India in the next few days. There is a possibility of a drop of 2-4 degree Celsius in maximum temperature in Central India and Maharashtra during the next 3 days and an increase of 2-4 degree Celsius during the next 4 days.
