The month of April is almost about to end and there are still fluctuations in the weather. Somewhere thunderstorms and rain, somewhere scorching heat and humidity are creating problems for the people. In such a situation, the India Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rains, thunderstorms and hailstorms in many states in the coming days. The weather conditions may become even more severe especially in eastern and southern India.

Heavy rain and snowfall

According to the Meteorological Department, Assam and Meghalaya may receive heavy to very heavy rains in the next few days. From 26 to 27 April, heavy rains are expected in parts of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, while Meghalaya may also receive extremely heavy rains. Along with this, rain is also expected in parts of West Bengal and Sikkim. The India Meteorological Department has predicted hailstorms in parts of Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Karnataka today.

Possibility of thunderstorms and lightning

The Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms and lightning with wind speeds of 50 to 60 kmph today. This can happen in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and northern parts of Karnataka. Apart from this, rains with strong winds can also occur in Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and other parts of Karnataka.

Heat and humidity warning

According to the India Meteorological Department, the effect of heat and humidity can be seen in Jharkhand, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh and other southern states today. Apart from this, the IMD has also predicted hot nights in the western parts of Rajasthan.

How will the weather be in the next 3 days?

East India: During 26 and 27 April, heavy rains along with strong thunderstorms and hailstorms are likely in the states of East India like West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha.

South India: Thunderstorms and rains are also likely in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Heavy rains may occur in Kerala and Mahe on 28 and 29 April.

Central India: Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and other parts may also see the effect of rain and thunderstorms next week.
