IMD Rain Alert: The Meteorological Department has issued a new alert regarding different states. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains may occur in many states of the country. Let us know which are the states where rain alert has been issued?
Heavy to very heavy rains may occur at isolated places in Konkan and Goa. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Gujarat region, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, Chhattisgarh, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
The withdrawal line of the southwest monsoon now passes through 29°N/86°E, Darbhanga, Hazaribagh, Pendra Road, Narsinghpur, Khargaon, Nandurbar, Navsari and 20°N/70°E.
Conditions are favourable for further withdrawal of southwest monsoon from some more parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and some parts of Odisha, West Bengal and Sikkim during next 2 days.
Yesterday’s low pressure area, now located over east-central Arabian Sea off Maharashtra coast at 08:30 am IST today 11 October 2024. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression over central Arabian Sea by 13 October morning.
An upper air cyclonic circulation lies over south Tamil Nadu coast at lower tropospheric levels. Another upper air cyclonic circulation lies over central parts of southern Bay of Bengal at lower tropospheric levels.
