IMD Rain Alert: The effect of the western disturbance will not be limited to the hilly areas only, but it will also reach the North Indian plains, where it usually does not rain during Holi.

IMD Rain Alert: A new western disturbance is active over the western Himalayas since the last two days i.e. March 10. Due to which rain is going to be seen from the mountains to the plains. Its effect can last till March 16. The effect of the western disturbance will not be limited to the hilly areas only, but it will also reach the North Indian plains. This series of rain can also be seen on Holi.

According to Skymet, light rain may occur in some parts of Punjab and North Haryana on March 12. The intensity of rain may increase on March 13 and 14, due to which light to moderate rain may be seen in many parts of Punjab, Haryana and northwestern Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, there is also a possibility of sporadic rain in Delhi and districts of western Uttar Pradesh during this period.

Rain in Rajasthan, MP and UP too

This time the effect of western disturbance will also be seen in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Light rain may occur at some places in North Madhya Pradesh on 14 and 15 March. Light rain is also expected in districts like Bareilly, Moradabad, Rampur, Bahraich, Bulandshahr, Shahjahanpur, Agra, Mathura, Aligarh and Hathras of Uttar Pradesh. Delhi may also receive light rain between 13 and 15 March.

Light rain in Northeast and South India

Northeast India may receive light to moderate rain on the eve of Holi. In South India, Kerala may witness light rain at some places on 13 and 14 March. At the same time, the weather will remain dry and hot in the rest of the country.

Today’s weather

Talking about the weather today i.e. March 12, strong winds may blow in most areas, which will maintain some softness in the weather. Similar weather is going to prevail in Delhi as well. Talking about the temperature, the minimum temperature can be 17 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature can be 34 degrees Celsius. The temperature will remain the same in the coming days. However, some change in the weather can be seen due to light rain. Apart from this, light to moderate rain and thundershowers can occur in Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala and Lakshadweep today.

Light to moderate rain and snowfall is possible in North Pakistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh. Light rain and snowfall can also occur in Sikkim and Uttarakhand. Light rain is likely in Tamil Nadu and Punjab.

Heat wave is also expected here

At the same time, the maximum temperature may increase slightly in northwest and central India. Hot and humid conditions may persist in Konkan, Goa and coastal Karnataka till March 12. On 12th March, heat wave to severe heat wave conditions are possible in some parts of Gujarat and South Rajasthan and heat wave conditions are also likely in some areas of Vidarbha and Odisha.
