The Meteorological Department has informed that yesterday’s pressure has increased from North-West Madhya Pradesh and adjoining South-West Uttar Pradesh to West-Northwest.
The Meteorological Department (IMD) has shared information about the rain in many states on Tuesday afternoon. According to IMD, there is going to be heavy rain and thundershowers in South West Madhya Pradesh and South Gujarat on 23 August. On 23 and 24 August, there will be heavy rain in South West Rajasthan. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Chhattisgarh on 26 and 27 August. There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in the areas of North Gujarat and South Rajasthan on 23 August.
According to another tweet by IMD, moderate to heavy rain may occur in Bihar on 23 August. Apart from this, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rains in the areas of East Uttar Pradesh on August 24. Heavy rain is expected over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on 23, 26 and 27 August. Odisha, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal may receive heavy rains on August 23 and 24. There will be heavy to very heavy rains in Odisha on 23 and 24 August.

According to the latest update of the Meteorological Department, Arunachal Pradesh will receive very heavy rains on 23, 26 and 27 August. Apart from this, heavy rain is expected in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura for the next five days. Talking about the hilly states, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rains in Uttarakhand on 23 and 24 August, Jammu and Kashmir on 24 August and Himachal Pradesh on 24, 25 August.
