According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of western disturbance between June 5 and 7. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain and thunderstorms at some places in the plains of North-West India. This situation is likely to occur in Rajasthan, some districts of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana and Punjab.

It is expected that the monsoon may knock before time in Bihar, eastern Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand and West Bengal. Monsoon usually enters these areas by June 10-15. The Meteorological Department said that on Monday, the monsoon has covered many parts of the central Arabian Sea, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and the entire northeastern states. Monsoon rains are expected in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, most parts of Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh during the next 4-5 days.

In Northeast India, the IMD said that strong winds coming from the Bay of Bengal can bring rain next week. Actually, this time the monsoon has knocked simultaneously in Kerala and the Northeast. There is also a possibility of monsoon entering the eastern parts of the country through the Northeast.

Rain broke the record in the month of June in Bengaluru, which is suffering from severe heat and drought. On June 2, 111.1 mm of rain was recorded here, which is the highest in the last 133 years. Earlier, the average rainfall in June in Bengaluru was 101.6 mm, which was made on June 16, 1891. Due to the rain on Sunday evening, life in Bangalore came to a standstill. There was a jam due to waterlogging on the roads and people faced a lot of trouble. The IMD has predicted partly cloudy sky and light rain in Karnataka during the next 48 hours.

Heat wave to continue in North India for five days, nights to be hot too

The heat wave and severe heat in the states of North India in the month of May will continue to affect the states in June as well. According to the warning issued by the Meteorological Department on Monday, heat wave will continue in 12 states for the next five days. During this time, nights will also be hot and humid weather is expected. The department said that there is a heat wave alert with hot weather in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Goa, Delhi and Gangetic West Bengal.
