There is a possibility of rain for the next five to seven days.

It will take a week for the monsoon to leave completely

According to the Meteorological Department, there has been heavy rain in Tamil Nadu. At the same time, heavy rains have also occurred in the northeastern states and Kerala, South Karnataka and Lakshadweep. The Meteorological Department has said that the departure of monsoon is yet to happen and there is a possibility of rain in many parts of the country for the next five to seven days.

Effect of trough line and cyclonic winds in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic wind area is formed around the coasts of Bay of Bengal and North Tamil Nadu, South Andhra Pradesh. This cyclonic area extends to the middle troposphere. Apart from this, a cyclonic wind area is also formed around Ganges, West Bengal. A trough line from Jharkhand to Manipur and another trough line from south-eastern Arabian Sea to Lakshadweep, Rayalaseema remains.

Heavy rain in the states of South India

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are likely in Tamil Nadu and Kerala in the next 24 hours. Very heavy rains may also occur at some places in North Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The Meteorological Department has said that these areas may receive 6 to 10 cm of rain. Heavy rains are also expected in Rayalaseema and South Karnataka.

There will be rain in North East and North India too

Heavy rains may also occur in the northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rains may occur in the rest of eastern and western India with thunderstorms. Maharashtra is also likely to receive light to moderate rains with thunderstorms. Light to moderate rains may occur in northwest India, especially Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and adjoining areas.
