New Delhi. Income Tax Refund: Income tax refund of those people who had filed Income Tax Return before 31st December 2021 has arrived. At the same time, this time there are also complaints that the refund of some taxpayers has come down. This has happened because this time some changes were made in the ITR portal. Due to those changes, the portal did not pick up some documents of many people.
There was a change in the form for some segments in the old and new portal. In such a situation, those who have filed ITR according to the old form, they have been able to get less refund. The reason for this is that the information about their deduction, income, TDS has not been fully recorded in the system.
You have to do this to get full refund
To get the full refund, you will have to correct your ITR (ITR Rectification) by visiting the site of the Income Tax Department. For this, you have to correct ITR filing by login to the portal. You can know the complete process here below-
- First of all login to the official website of Income Tax https://eportal.incometax.gov.in.
- Go to e-File and select Rectification from the drop down menu.
- Now select the order you want to rectify. For this, you have to select Income Tax and the relevant assessment year. After doing this click on Continue.
- Now select the correct request type. After that choose the reason. Now upload all the required documents and submit.
- You have corrected your ITR. After few days you will get full refund.
