New Delhi: There has been a tremendous increase in the total direct tax collection of the government. If we look at the figures till November 10, there has been an increase of up to 31 percent in the direct tax collection of the government. After which it has increased to the level of Rs 10.54 lakh crore.

The Finance Ministry said in a statement on Friday that the increase was mainly due to the better performance of personal income tax collection. Net direct tax collection after adjustment for refunds stood at Rs 8.71 lakh crore. This includes personal and corporate taxes. This is 61.31 percent of the target set for the whole year in the general budget.
The government issued so much refund
The statement said that between April 1 and November 10, refunds worth Rs 1.83 lakh crore have been issued. The ministry said, “The direct tax collection till November 10, 2022 shows that the gross collection is Rs 10.54 lakh crore. This is 30.69 per cent more than the gross collection of the corresponding period last year. There has been an increase of 22.03 per cent and 40.64 per cent in gross corporate tax and personal income tax collection, respectively.
Check refund status on NSDL website

For this, first after login, click on View Return / Forms. Now select Income Tax Returns and enter the assessment year. Now the status of your refund will be known.
Where to complain if refund is not received
Taxpayers can lodge complaints on incometax.gov.in. They can also use the toll-free number 1800-103-4455 issued by the IT Department. This number can be called on working days between 8 am to 8 pm. Apart from this, complaints can also be lodged on the e-filing portal of the Income Tax Department.
