Income Tax Return: Alert! Link Aadhaar Card with ITR immediately, know how to link here

According to the Income Tax Act, now the information of Aadhar card will have to be given while filling ITR. Along with this, linking of Aadhar card and PAN card has also become necessary.

In such a situation, if these two cards are not linked, then you may face problem in filling ITR. Under section 139AA(1)(ii), whether you are filing ITR online or offline, you will have to provide your Aadhaar card number. Let us know how you can link Aadhaar card with ITR-

Here is the complete process-

• First you login to https://incometaxindia.gov.in/ .
• Enter Username and Password.
• Go to the Profile setting option of the home page.
• Click on Link Aadhaar.
• Enter the details related to Aadhaar.
• Click on Link Now.
• After this, you verify the information related to the Aadhar card with the PAN card.
• After that click on If you want to generate Aadhaar OTP to e verify your return option.
• After this OTP will be sent to your mobile.
• Write OTP and Submit.
• After this ‘Return Successfully e verified. Click on ‘Download the acknowledgment’.
