Sanjay Mishra, New Delhi. India has been steadily preparing to compete with China, which is constantly increasing tension on the border. Every maneuver of China will be thwarted without any pressure. The army has been instructed to continue the ongoing construction work along the border. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday reviewed the entire situation with the country’s top military leadership amid increasing activities of Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) of India and China. The review meeting was attended by National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and heads of the three armies.

It is clear from the first such meeting called by the Prime Minister that China’s strategy of creating pressure with military force will be thwarted. At the same time, it also shows that the situation on the border is deteriorating despite the political leadership of both countries not yet commenting on the current tensions. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat, Army Chief Manoj Munkad Narwane, Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadoria and Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh attended the review meeting held with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

India and China soldiers face to face

The Chinese claim on the Galvan Valley in the Ladakh region of India has further increased its tensions amid increased presence of Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control of each other with Indian and Chinese troops on the Ladakh border. On the other hand, there are reports of increasing activities of Chinese soldiers in Harshil sector associated with China with Uttarakhand-Himachal Pradesh. However, this has not been officially confirmed yet.

India is not ready to back down

By the way, India is also constantly indicating that it is not ready to back down on the whole matter. Indian military sources have made it clear that despite China’s objections, roads and other construction work will continue in the border areas. In order to prevent the construction of roads and other infrastructure in the Indian territory near the Ladakh border, the Chinese army has increased its strength by encroaching the border.

India will continue construction of roads and infrastructure

Sources said that it was decided that India will continue to build roads and infrastructure near the Chinese border in Ladakh and other areas while countering China’s military maneuver. According to sources, this meeting with the Prime Minister also discussed the strategy of dealing with the situation of potential challenges of China. The encroachment of Chinese troops into the Ladakh border region has become the most serious issue after the most stressful phase of the Indo-China military confrontation at Doklam in 2017.

India will not hesitate to take appropriate reply

After the Prime Minister’s meeting, by directing the army not to stop the construction work, India has clearly told China that it is fully understanding the strategy of Chinese strategy to pressure the border dispute. India will not hesitate to take appropriate retaliatory action. China has made a military encroachment in the Ladakh region with the intention of putting a hindrance in the construction work of India and the Indian Army is firmly in a face-to-face position with the Chinese troops.

China claimed the entire galvan area
