New Delhi, Tech Desk. India is making rapid strides on behalf of Digital India. But India’s internet speed is working to put a break in this speed. In fact, in the Global Ranking of the month of June in Mobile and Fixed Broadband Internet Speed, India has got 129 ranking among 187 countries. During this period, the average mobile downloading speed in India was 34.67Mbps globally, while the average uploading speed was 11.01Mbps. Countries like South Korea, United Arab Emirates, Canada, China, Qatar topped the mobile space in the global speed test index in the month of June, while in the fixed broadband segment, in June, the global speed test like Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and Romania Countries joined the list of top countries.
In June, India ranked 75th among 178 countries in the Fired Broadband Speed Test in the Global Index Report of Ookla. India’s average broadband speed during this period was 38.19mbps, while the uploading speed was 34.22mbps. In India, the average downloading speed in May was 35.96mbps, while the average uploading speed was 32.60Mbps. Talking about the world wide average internet speed, the average downloading speed was 78.26Mbps. The average uploading speed was 42.06Mbps.

According to the Washington-based company, in its report, mobile-internet speed and its use are being closely monitored during the global pandemic Kovid-19. According to the report, Internet speed remained the same in the week of July 6 as compared to the week before June 29 in India. The average mobile download speed of record in India during this period was 12.28Mbps, up from 12.74Mbps last week. Ukala said that the recorded mobile download speed in the week of July 6 increased by 5% compared to the week of March 2. Like the fixed broadband download speed, the average mobile speed in the country has been around 12Mbps since the month of May. At the same time, this speed was 34.69Mbps in the week of July 6, which was 35.61Mbps in the previous week.
