Neelu Ranjan, New Delhi. India has been ahead of developed countries in the war against Corona. The government has claimed this, denying the allegations of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of complete failure of the lockdown. The funny thing is that the allegations and counter-allegations of the government and the opposition are being done only through tweets. Responding to Rahul’s allegations in the same manner, the Union Health Ministry said that due to the lockdown, not only fewer people got infections in India than other countries of the world, but the number of people who died due to this has been very low. The Union Health Ministry gave data on corona infection and deaths due to the same four countries whose data were used to prove the lockdown was a failure. Rahul tweeted the graph and the Ministry of Health tweeted the figures.

Rahul Gandhi accused tweet lock failure

In fact, a day earlier, Rahul Gandhi tweeted a graph of the number of patients of Corona every day in India along with Spain, Germany, Italy and Britain. With the help of this tweet, he tried to prove how the lockdown has failed in India. Rahul said that lockdowns in Spain, Germany, Italy and Britain were successful in preventing the infection of the corona. The lockdown was lifted at a time when the number of new patients was decreasing. In contrast, the number of new patients continued to grow even during lockdown in India. The decision to remove the lockdown was made when it reached an all-time high. The way statistics are coming in daily from metros like Delhi, Mumbai, it also reinforces Rahul’s argument. The apprehension among the common people has also deepened, because such reports are coming from many places that the tests are not being done at all. Even the patients with common symptoms are not bothered to see.

On average, 5.17 deaths per one lakh population in the world

The Health Ministry, however, retaliated by tweeting a graph of the Corona situation in the same four countries, which Rahul Gandhi cited. According to the Ministry of Health, due to Corona, deaths of 58.06 in Spain, 59.62 in Britain, 55.78 in Italy and 10.35 in Germany per one lakh population, while in India it is only 0.49. Worldwide, an average of 5.17 deaths per 100,000 population have been reported due to corona. In the second graph posted with the tweet, the Ministry of Health has reported that 515.61 per million population, 419.54 in Britain, 387.33 in Italy and 219.93 in Germany have been infected with corona, while in India only 17.32 people have been infected. Huh. An average of 87.74 people per 100,000 population have been infected worldwide.
