Visa Free Countries: The Ministry of External Affairs said that providing the above facilities for the visa process is a matter of a country, but it also depends to a large extent on how its relations are with India.

Visa Free Countries: Almost half of the countries in the world have made the visa process very easy for Indian tourists. The travel process of these countries has become very easy for Indian passport holders. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, at present 16 countries have started visa free entry, 40 countries have started visa on arrival and 47 countries have started e-visa. The Ministry of External Affairs is constantly trying to get the rest of the countries of the world to come forward to make travel easier for Indians.

The Ministry of External Affairs said that providing the above facilities for the visa process is a matter of a country, but it also depends to a large extent on how its relations are with India. As India’s closeness with other countries is increasing, the number of countries providing easy visa facilities is increasing. Sources in the Ministry of External Affairs said that discussions are going on with many countries and more countries can be added to this list by the end of this year.

Visa free travel in these countries

These mainly include Thailand, Bhutan, Hong Kong, Maldives, Mauritius. Many countries are providing both e-visa and visa on arrival facilities. The countries providing e-visa facility include Vietnam, Russia, UAE, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Argentina, Bahrain, Malaysia, New Zealand, Oman, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Uganda, Uzbekistan etc. The countries providing arrival visa facility include Fiji, Indonesia, Iran, Jamaica, Jordan, Nigeria, Qatar, Zimbabwe, Tunisia etc. Many of these countries are providing both e-visa and arrival visa facilities.

Basically facilities only on tourist visa

The countries that have provided visa free, arrival visa or e-visa facility are basically applicable only on tourist visa. In this, permission is given to stay in the country from 15 days to a maximum of three months.

Time is saved

The advantage of the visa process being easy is that the time taken in the process of getting a regular visa from the embassy is saved. The process of e-visa, arrival visa is easy. In this, the prescribed documents have to be either uploaded or presented at the time of taking the arrival visa, on the basis of which the visa is obtained immediately.

India is also giving e-visa, arrival visa and visa-free entry to many countries. India is providing e-visa to about 170 countries, visa on arrival facility to many countries including Japan, South Korea, UAE.

Ranked 82nd in passport rank

The more countries will give visa-free or easy visa entry to India, the stronger the Indian passport will become. India is ranked 82nd in the Global Passport Ranking 2024. Last year its rank was 84. It is constantly improving.
