Now the platform ticket of the railway station will be 50 rupees. Earlier, on October 2, the railways had increased the price of platform tickets from Rs 10 to Rs 30 per passenger. However, the increased rate will be effective from October 26 to November 6.

The Northern Railway Lucknow Divisional Administration is continuously making platform tickets costlier to curb the rush with passengers. The price of platform tickets on Northern Railway’s Lucknow, Varanasi, Barabanki, Ayodhya Cantt, Ayodhya, Akbarpur, Shahganj, Jaunpur, Sultanpur, Rae Bareli, Janghai, Bhadohi, Pratapgarh and Unnao has been fixed at 50 per person.
Earlier, from October 2 to November 5, at Lucknow, Varanasi, Barabanki, Ayodhya Cantt, Ayodhya, Akbarpur, Shahganj, Jaunpur, Sultanpur, Rae Bareli, Janghai, Bhadohi, Pratapgarh and Unnao stations, the price of platform tickets for sale was Rs 10. 30 per person instead of Rs.

Around 240 trains pass through Charbagh Railway Station everyday. Every day around 800 to 900 people buy platform tickets and come to pick up their acquaintances. If there is no platform ticket, they are considered as ticket. In that case, they have to pay a fine. Failure to pay the fine will result in action under the Railway Act.
