Advance reservation period is 120 days
Let us inform that at the end of February, the Indian Railways had announced to restore the old system in the general coaches of trains. Also, the Railways had said that passengers will be able to travel on general tickets only after the advance reservation period is over. Please note that the advance reservation period is 120 days. “General coaches in regular trains will be marked as reserved or unreserved, as these were prevalent during the pre-pandemic period,” the officials had said.
For example, if a train had 4 unreserved general coaches during the pre-pandemic period, but is now being operated as second class reserved class, they will be given advance reservation period (after 120 days) or no booking. Will be reinstated as unreserved coach from the date (date on which no passenger has booked reservation ticket for second class).’
