Indian Railways keeps on doing new experiments every day to provide maximum convenience to the passengers. Now the railway administration has made changes in the Dhanbad-Patna Intercity Express. In fact, from December 1, you will not be able to travel in the first AC coach in the Dhanbad-Patna Intercity Express.

Indian Railway : Indian Railway keeps on doing new experiments daily for the convenience of the passengers. Railways is trying to provide maximum facilities to the passengers. Its effect is reflected in the number of passengers in AC and sleeper classes of trains passing through Dhanbad. Dhanbad commuters now spend more on travel than before. Let’s try to get them tickets in second and third ac. In case of non-availability of tickets, they travel in sleeper and ordinary coaches. On the other hand, in the reservation opened 120 days in advance, the AC bogie seats are filled first. Then the sleeper seats.

Number increasing continuously for five years

There are around 55 pairs of mail/express trains originating from and passing through Dhanbad station. Barring some of these intercity trains, the demand for AC coaches has increased in almost all trains. This is what the figures of the Commerce Department of Dhanbad Railway Board show. According to this, in the year 2018, a total of 5,09,139 passengers have traveled in AC, 12,35,022 passengers in sleeper. In the year 2019, 5,89,921 passengers traveled in AC and 13,24,097 in sleeper. While in the year 2022 (till October), 8,25,417 passengers traveled in AC and 151555 in sleeper. At the same time, 2,35,496 passengers have traveled more till October 2022 as compared to the year 2019. A total of Rs 89,64,87,284 has come to the account of Dhanbad Railway Division from AC bogie till October 2022. It may be known that in the years 2020 and 2021, most of the trains were canceled due to Corona.

Facilities available in AC coach

Passengers get many facilities in AC bogie as compared to sleeper and ordinary bogie. Some of the key features in the coaches are personalized reading lights, AC vents, USB points, mobile charging points, improved ladders for climbing to upper berths and snack tables. Third AC has three berths on one side and lower and upper berths in front. All reserved passengers are given blankets, sheets, pillows and towels. Second AC has less seats than third AC. There are two seats on one side and upper and lower berths in front. Apart from this, many other facilities are also provided. On the other hand, there is a coupe in First AC, which has only two seats and one door.

First AC coach will be removed from December 1

Passengers traveling in Dhanbad-Patna Intercity Express will not be able to travel in First AC from December 1. The railway administration is going to remove the first AC coach from this train from December 1. The administration told that booking in the first AC coach in the Intercity Express coming from Dhanbad to Patna and Patna to Dhanbad in the morning is negligible and the bogie comes almost empty throughout the year. This puts additional burden on the Railways. That’s why the railway administration has decided to remove the first AC bogie from this train. After this, apart from second AC, third AC, only sleeper and ordinary bogie coaches will be left in the train.

An additional First AC coach will be added to Ludhiana Express from today
A first AC coach will join the Ludhiana Express starting from Dhanbad from Friday. Even after LHB racking, the demand for First AC passengers in the train was increasing, considering which an additional First AC coach is being installed, which will provide great relief to passengers traveling long distances.
