Now Indian Railways has decided to install one coach each of advanced and state-of-the-art air-conditioned third economy class in 36 pairs of trains of East Central Railway opening from Patna and Rajendranagar terminal by East Central Railway to give comfortable and better rail travel experience to the passengers. have taken. Apart from this, one coach each of advanced and state-of-the-art air-conditioned third economy class will be installed on an experimental basis in 12 trains being run by Zonal Railways for different stations of East Central Railway.
AC economic class coaches will be installed in these trains
> Train number 13237/13238 and 13239/13240 Patna-Kota-Patna Express will be fitted with AC coaches from Patna from September 24 while from Kota from September 25.
> Train number 12393/12394 Rajendranagar Terminal-New Delhi-Rajendranagar Terminal Sampoorn Kranti Express will be fitted with AC coaches from Rajendranagar Terminal from 27th September and New Delhi from 28th September.
> Train No. 22351/22352 Patliputra – SMBHT Bengaluru – Patliputra Express will be fitted with AC coaches from Patliputra from 23rd September and SMBHT Bengaluru from 26th September.
> Train number 22355/22356 Patliputra-Chandigarh-Patliputra Express will be fitted with AC coaches from Patliputra from September 21 and from Chandigarh from September 22.
> Train number 12355/12356 Patna-Jammutvi-Patna Archana Express will start running from Patna on 27th September and Jammu Tawi from 28th September with one AC III Economy class coach each.
> Train number 13201/13202 Patna-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus will be fitted with AC coaches from Patna from 20th September and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus from 22nd September.
> Train number 12395/12396 Rajendranagar Terminal-Ajmer-Rajendranagar Terminal will be fitted with AC coaches from Rajendranagar Terminal from 5th September and Ajmer to 7th September.

Difference between normal AC and economy coach
It is an affordable air-conditioned rail travel service. The fare of new AC III class economy is about eight percent less than that of regular AC III class. The base fare of new AC III economy class as compared to AC III class has been kept at 2.4 times of sleeper class fare of Mail/Express train. Whereas the base fare of the existing air-conditioned third class is 2.6 times of the sleeper class fare.
