Indian Railways has stopped giving sheets, pillows, blankets to passengers since March last year. Apart from this, the Railways had also stopped on-board cooking and only packaged food was being given to the passengers. Now on-board cooking has been started again in some premium trains, but passengers of most trains still have to work with packaged food.
The burden will continue to fall on the pockets of the passengers
At present, disposable bedroll kits are being provided to the passengers traveling in AC coaches. For this, passengers have to pay separately.
