In a major announcement, Paytm has said that it has extended its partnership with Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) to provide digital ticketing service to users through Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs) installed at railway stations across the country. has expanded.
This is the first time that Indian Railways is providing the option of making digital payment for ticket booking through UPI on ATVMs to promote cashless system among railway passengers. This service has already gone live on all ATVM machines at railway stations in India.
Passengers will be able to renew their unreserved train journey tickets, platform tickets and their seasonal tickets and recharge smart cards by scanning the QR code on the screen. Paytm provides the convenience of paying passengers through various payment options – Paytm UPI, Paytm Wallet, Paytm Postpaid (Buy Now, Pay Later), Net Banking, Credit Card and Debit Card.

Giving information, a Paytm spokesperson said that after pioneering the QR code revolution in India, we want to enhance it further by providing ease of ticketing facility at railway stations. In association with IRCTC and ours, we are bringing Paytm QR solution to Automatic Ticket Wedding Machines of Indian Railways. With this facility, the journey will be completely cashless.
How To Book Tickets With Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVM)
• On ATVM located at nearest railway station, select route for ticket booking or enter smart card number for recharge.
• Select Paytm as the payment option.
• Scan the displayed QR code to complete the transaction easily.
• Based on the selection, a physical ticket will be generated or smart card will be recharged.
