Refund will be given if the train is late or diverted
According to the information given by the Railways, if a train is running late for three hours (Train Late For Tree Hour) and the passenger is not ready to travel, then refund will be given on cancellation of the ticket immediately. However, there is a condition that the train is running late by three hours from your boarding station. Apart from this, if the train has been diverted and the passenger’s station is not on the diverted route, then refund will be given for not traveling.
Refund will be issued even in these conditions
- The bogie in which your ticket is confirmed and that bogie has not been added to that train, then refund will be given.
- If someone is confirmed to travel in a low class bogie on a high class ticket, then full refund will be given for not traveling.
- On Party Tatkal Tickets or Family Tatkal Tickets issued for travel of more than one person and some have confirmed reservation and others are on waiting list, full refund of fare will be given for confirmed passengers . However, there will be a condition that they cancel the entire ticket 6 hours before the train starts.
Refund on tatkal waiting ticket also
