New Delhi. The website of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation came to a sudden halt on Monday evening, after which the work of online ticket booking and cancellation also came to a standstill.
When troubled people talked to the customer care center in this regard, it was said that there was a technical problem. The website has been closed for more than two hours. However, IRCTC officials have accepted that the site is not working.
More than 10 lakh tickets are booked daily through IRCTC website. The site suddenly stopped opening late on Monday evening. Please try again or downtime message was coming on IRCTC login. The site was not operational till 9.30 pm. Nitesh Sinha, who lives in Indirapuram Ghaziabad of NCR, told that he had to cancel his ticket. The site opened at around 7.30 pm, but did not open.
On this, he told about the non-opening of the phone site on the customer care number, then he was told the technical problem and he was given a mail id to cancel the ticket, on which the request was asked to be sent. In this regard, IRCTC officials were talked to, they accepted that the site was not opened. He said that many trains have been canceled, those trains are being updated in the software, due to which the site did not open.
