Indian Railway Special Trains: If you are thinking of going home during Diwali and Chhath, then Railways has announced to run 283 special trains for you.


Festive Special Train 2023: Indian Railways is an essential part of the lives of common people. Every day crores of people travel by train and during festivals the number of people traveling by train increases manifold. The festivals of Diwali (Diwali 2023) and Chhath (Chhath 2023) will be celebrated in the next few days. In such a situation, Railways has announced a total of 283 special trains. Announcing this, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw informed that these 283 special trains will make a total of 4,480 trips during Diwali and Chhath (Diwali Chhath Special Train 2023) for the passengers to reach their destination.

Railways operating special trains on different zones

According to the information given by the Railways, East Central Railway is going to run a total of 42 special trains which will make a total of 512 trips. Whereas Western Railway will operate 36 special trains. These trains will take passengers to their destination by making a total of 1,262 trips. Whereas North Western Railways will operate a total of 1,208 trains through 24 special trains. It is worth noting that passengers coming from cities like New Delhi, Anand Vihar, Patna, Saharsa, Jogwani, Gorakhpur, Barauni, Muzaffarpur, Gaya, Lucknow, Darbhanga, Katihar etc. will have the facility this festive season.

Crackdown on ticketless passengers will be tightened

Apart from this, Railways is also preparing to take strict action against those traveling without tickets this festive season. For this, Railways is going to run a special campaign. Railway Board has asked senior officials of every zone to crack down on ticketless passengers so that people traveling with tickets will not have to face problems.
