How to book fast Tatkal tickets on IRCTC:
1. To book Tatkal tickets on IRCTC, you need to have an IRCTC account. If you do not have an account, you can create one by visiting https://www.irctc.co.in website or IRCTC app.
2. After the account is created, create a master list. You can find the master list option in the My Profile section and fill in the details like passenger name, age, gender, birth preference, food preference, senior, ID card type and ID card number.
3. Add Passenger to Master List. You can add up to 20 passengers to the list.
4. Now create a travel list from the drop-down list of My Profile and select the name of the passenger from the main list. Now you are all set to book Tatkal tickets.
How can you book Tatkal tickets?
Step 1: To book Tatkal tickets for class 3AC or above, log on to IRCTC website or app before 9:57 am and for sleep class by 10:57 am.
Step 2: Then select the name of the stations under the Plan My Trip tab and select the date of your journey and send.
Step 3: Now select the train you want to travel from the list of suggested trains. Also choose from the quota – Normal, Premium Tatkal, Women and Tatkal.
Step 4: Then select the coaches for which you want to book the ticket and enter the passenger details. Now the master list will help you in this by saving your time.
Step 5: If you want to book ticket for 1-2 passengers then select passenger details from master list but if number of passengers is more then please select passenger details from travel list.
Step 6: When you are done, proceed with the payment. After all the process is done, you can find the booked tickets on My Booking tab.
