Indian Railways Announcement: Due to the beautification of Jammu Tawi railway station and increase in platforms, many trains including Vande Bharat will remain cancelled till March 2. This is causing trouble to the passengers. Many trains are being run mid-way while some have been cancelled till March. Passengers who have reservations in trains are being refunded the full amount without any deduction.
Indian Railways News: Due to the beautification of Jammu Tawi railway station and increase in platforms, trains going to Jammu Tawi, Udhampur and Katra from various states of the country including Vande Bharat are being cancelled till March 2, due to which the problems of the passengers have increased.
As per the order issued by the department, Begumpura Express going from Varanasi to Jammu Tawi is being run from Pathankot Cantt, Somnath Express going from Beraval to Jammu Tawi is being run from Pathankot City, Shalimar Express going from Barmer to Jammu Tawi is being run from Vijaypur and Muri Express going from Tatanagar to Jammu Tawi is being run from Amritsar.
Due to this, problems have arisen for the passengers going to various cities from Pathankot. Kunal Vishwas going to Delhi from the city’s Cantt station, Samarendra Nath going to Muri and Rohit Chaudhary going to Kolkata said that it is not right to cancel trains for such a long time. Therefore, trains should have been run in shorter timeframes so that passengers do not have to face problems.
Indian Oil depot will be removed from Jammu Tawi station
According to departmental officials, currently there are only three platforms at Jammu Tawi railway station. These platforms were also built three decades ago. But, in these three decades, more than 20 trains have increased at Jammu Tawi railway station. In such a situation, trains have to be run on outer signals. Which affects the movement of trains.
Indian Oil depot used to create the biggest problem in making platforms. Apart from this, there is a plan to build four new platforms and five new washing lines. Which will take three months to complete. Therefore, the said trains have been cancelled at other stations.
- Vande Bharat Express will remain cancelled till February 28.
- 22439 Delhi to Katra via Pathankot is cancelled till 28th February.
- 22440 Katra to Delhi via Pathankot Vande Bharat is cancelled till 28th February.
12469 Kanpur-Jammu Tawi
Will remain cancelled on these dates- 20th November, 22nd, 27th, 29th, 4th December, 6th, 11th, 13th, 18th, 20th, 25th, 27th, 1st January, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 15th, 17th, 22nd, 24th, 29th and 31st January.

Will remain cancelled on November 19, 21, 26, 28, December 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26, 31, January 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28 and 30.
12491 Mordhwaj Barauni to Jammu Tawi
Will not come on November 17, 24, December 1, December 8, 15, 22, 29, January 5, 12, 19, 26 and February 2.
12492 Jammu Tawi to Barauni
Will not run on November 15, 22, 29, December 6, 13, 20, 20, 27, January 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31.
14605 Yoganagar Rishikesh to Jammu Tawi
Will be cancelled on November 18, 25, December 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, January 6, 13, 20 and 27.
14606 Jammu Tawi to Yoganagari Rishikesh
Will not run on November 17, 24, December 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, January 5, 12, 19 and 26.
12265 Duronto Delhi-Jammutvi
Will not come on November 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, 29, December 1, 3, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27, 29, 31, January 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 14, 17, 19, 21, 24, 26, 28 and 31.
1226 Jammu Tawi Delhi Duronto
Will not run on 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 27, 30, 2 December, 4, 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, 30, 1 January, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29 and 1 February.
On the other hand, Pathankot Railway official said that work is going on for new platforms and washing lines at Jammu Tawi Railway Station. Due to which many trains are being run mid-way. Whereas, some trains have been cancelled till March. Said that the passengers who have reservations in trains have been refunded the full amount without any deduction.
