According to Deepak Kumar, Chief Spokesperson of Northern Railway, fog season is about to come, in such a situation, there is a possibility of the operation of trains being affected. In order to operate the trains on time, this year Northern Railway has decided to cancel 62 trains for three months. These trains run from places like Amritsar, Chandigarh, New Delhi, Jammu Tawi, Ambala, Barauni, Jaynagar, Anand Vihar, Lucknow etc. Due to non-running of these trains, the time of track remaining empty will increase, due to which the trains running at that time will be able to reach their destination on time despite the reduced speed.
The frequency of 30 trains has also been reduced for this period. Some trains which used to run six days a week will now run only two or three days. Northern Railway has also shortened the journey of six trains. Officials believe that due to the short journey these trains will be able to reach their destination on time.
These trains running from Delhi will remain canceled
