Connecting railway stations across the country with Vande Bharat train is the dream project of Prime Minister Modi. This semi high speed train was started from 2019. Apart from being convenient, the journey in this train is also completed in less time.
At present, 10 Vande Bharat trains are operating in the country. In the next week, Vande Bharat is also expected to operate on the route from Delhi to Jaipur. Due to the features of the train and the less time taken in the journey, the demand for the train has increased a lot.
Preparation to connect 150 cities with Vande Bharat train
This is the reason that rapid preparations are being made by the Railways for the operation of new Vande Bharat trains. PM Modi’s target is to connect 150 cities of the country with Vande Bharat trains.
About 70 Vande Bharat trains are ready to operate by August 2024 only. In view of the increasing demand for travel in this train, the Railway Administration has decided to increase the frequency of New Delhi-Varanasi-New Delhi (Train No. 22436/22435) Vande Bharat Express for the convenience of the passengers.
Frequency increased to six days a week
The frequency of this train has been increased from five days to six days a week. Due to this, the timing of trains has also been changed at some stations. The New Delhi-Varanasi-New Delhi Vande Bharat train will operate six days a week from March 20, 2023.
Varanasi-New Delhi Vande Bharat (Train number 22435) will run from 20 March 2023 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. In return, this train will run on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Timings of some trains changed
The increase in the frequency of Vande Bharat will also affect some trains. Railways has changed the standing time at many train stations. The timing of Prayagraj-Meerut Nagar Sangam Express (Train No.14163) has been changed. This train will now stop at Khurja from 03.50 am to 03.55 am. Similarly, time has also been changed in Khurja City, Bulandshahr, Hapur. Its arrival at Meerut City will be at 6.25 am as before.
There has also been a change in the timings of Udhampur-Subedarganj Superfast Express (train number 22432). Its new time will be effective from 19.03.2023 from the starting station. Similarly, there has been a change in the timing of Agra Fort – Lucknow Intercity Express (Train No. 12180). The new timings of the train will be effective from March 20, 2023, from the originating station.
