In the cabinet meeting being held today, the government has approved the 78-day railway bonu i.e. this time the bonus is going to come in the account of 11 lakh employees before Diwali. Along with this, the government has also decided to extend the Garib Kalyan Yojana by 3 months.
Non-gazetted employees will get benefit
In the cabinet meeting being held today, the government has announced to give full 78 days bonus to non-gazetted employees. This decision of the government will benefit about 11.56 lakh non-gazetted employees.
How much money will come in the account,
due to this decision of the government, there will be an additional expenditure of 2000 crores on the railways. If we talk about the amount of bonus, then the fixed salary calculation limit for PLB payment to eligible railway employees will be Rs 7000 per month. That is, if the bonus of 78 days comes in the account, then a maximum of Rs 17951 will come in the account.
Bonus was announced last year too
Talking about last year, in the year 2021 also, Railways had given 78 days bonus to its employees. A railway employee will get a bonus of Rs 7000 per 30 days i.e. about Rs 18000 bonus for 78 days.
Government had implemented PLB
Let us tell you that the Railways was the first such department of the Central Government, in which PLB was brought in the year 1970-80. Railways had understood the need of bonus to be given in PLB, only after which it was implemented for the employees.
