Tejas Express coming from New Delhi to Lucknow got late on Friday. Now according to the rules, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will give a compensation of Rs 250 to the passengers. IRCTC will refund Rs 1.36 lakh to these passengers.
Corporate train Tejas Express got delayed by two hours on Friday due to fog in western Uttar Pradesh. IRCTC will compensate the passengers for the delay of this train. In fact, on Friday, Tejas Express got stuck in fog between Aligarh and Ghaziabad. Due to this the train reached New Delhi at 2:19 pm instead of 12:25 pm. In return direction Tejas Express departs from New Delhi at 4:59 PM. This train left New Delhi with a delay of 1:19 hours. But till reaching Kanpur, it was delayed by 2:44 hours and Lucknow Junction at 12:55 in the night by 2:50 hours.
544 passengers were traveling in Tejas Express coming from New Delhi to Lucknow. According to the rules, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will give a compensation of Rs 250 to the passengers. IRCTC will refund Rs 1.36 lakh to these passengers. Due to late arrival in Lucknow, Tejas Express could leave New Delhi late by one hour on Saturday morning. Apart from this, it was delayed by 1:10 hours in Lucknow on Saturday morning, New Delhi Lucknow AC Superfast by one hour, Chandigarh-Lucknow Superfast between Bareilly to Lucknow by 2:35 hours. While Doon Express was delayed by 1:30 hours, Begumpura Express by one and a half hours, Krishak Express by one hour.
Delhi trains will be affected by the parade
Train operations will be affected for two days in view of Delhi’s Republic Day parade. There is a full dress rehearsal on 23rd in Delhi while Republic Day parade will be held on 26th. The Railway Board has given orders to stop its trains during the parade. Train No. 12204 Amritsar-Saharsa Garibrath Express, 20506 New Delhi-Dibrugarh Town Rajdhani Express, 20504 New Delhi-Dibrugarh Town Rajdhani Express, 15128 New Delhi-Varanasi Kashi Vishwanath Express, 12423 Dibrugarh Town-New Delhi, due to the parade. Rajdhani Express, 12523 Newjalpaiguri – New Delhi Superfast Express will be stopped.
