This service was stopped after Corona

During the journey, passengers had to be carried from home without blankets. Many passengers did not like to carry blankets etc. from home. Especially those people, who move quickly from one city to another for meetings. All the passengers had been demanding for a long time that they should be given blankets, sheets while traveling in trains.

Railways ordered to charge extra charge for these things
After this, the Railways started the facility of providing complete kits in trains. It was said in the order of the Railways that passengers can buy things according to the need, for example, if a passenger wants to take only the blanket, then he can buy the blanket and if needed, the complete kit can also be purchased for Rs 300. 180 rupees for a blanket, 70 rupees for pillows and 40 rupees for bed sheets. After the end of the journey, the passenger can take these things with him.

Railways recovered Rs 220 crore
Railways saved a lot of money by giving blankets and sheets. Lakhs of rupees spent on washing these things were also saved. Dainik Yatri Association President SS Uppal said that the cost of linen is between 40 to 70 rupees. Railways ended this facility, but the ticket rate did not make any difference. Including all these expenses, Railways recovered a total of Rs 220 crore.
