Indian Railway News: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation is going to make many changes to provide better facilities to the passengers. Food supervisors will be posted in the base kitchen, regular sampling of food will be done and frequent surveys will be conducted regarding the facilities, so that the complaints and suggestions of the passengers will continue to be received by IRCTC.
New Delhi. After April, when you travel in trains, you will see the food service changed. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation is going to make many changes to improve the facilities, which may take one to two months. According to IRCTC, all the facilities will be better by April.
IRCTC is going to make three major changes to further improve the convenience of catering in trains. Soon these will start being implemented. At present IRCTC is providing catering in about 428 trains. Apart from this, pantry car is also running in some trains. In this way, IRCTC is providing catering facility in more than 500 and a half trains.
These will be three big changes
- Food safety supervisors will be deployed in all base kitchens. These supervisors will be contractual, who will regularly monitor the quality of food, so that the passengers do not have any food related complaints. IRCTC has around 50 base kitchens across the country, from where food is supplied.
- Regular sampling of food will be done. Till now food sampling is done only after the passenger complains, but now there will be regular sampling of food in trains and base kitchens.
- What are the suggestions for how satisfied passengers are with the food they get in trains. For this, continuous surveys will be done. At present, the survey is conducted by IRCTC, but there is no time for it, which will continue to be done at the scheduled time.
