There is a strong demand from railway passengers to provide catering service and bed rolls/blankets during the journey in the train. But Indian Railways is not in a mood to start these services yet.



Covid 19 pandemic (Coronavirus variety of activities in the country during the Pandemic) have been temporarily stopped. These included some of the facilities available in the train. Indian Railways ( Indian Railways ) had Covid 19 epidemic-off feature to provide food and Bedrol visiting Given train. Disposable Bedroll Kit

After the arrival of Covid, the passengers in the sleeper and AC coaches in the train were asked to bring them with them from home after the facility of bed rolls / blankets was stopped. Railways started providing disposable germ free bedroll kits at stations in February 2021. Passengers were given the facility to buy them from railway stations. Railways provided a choice of 3 types of disposable germ free bedroll kits.

The Rs 300 kit included nonwoven blanket, nonwoven bedsheet, nonwoven pillow, pillow cover, disposable bag, toothpaste, toothbrush, hair oil, comb, sanitizer sachet, peppersop and tissue paper. Another kit, which costs Rs 150, has only one blanket for the passengers. On the other hand, the third kit, which is the morning kit and which costs only Rs 30, consists of toothpaste, toothbrush, hair oil, comb, sanitizer sachet, paper soap and tissue paper for the passengers.
