So let us tell you the truth. According to the official Twitter handle of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Attari railway station in Amritsar is also known as Attari Shyam Singh railway station. Indians also need visa and passport to go to this railway station. That is because the train goes to Pakistan from here and travel to Pakistan is done from Attari border. Let us tell you that Attari station comes under Ferozepur division of Northern Railway.

A Pakistani visa is required to go here. The army is responsible for the security of the station and passengers have to go through several levels of checks here. Attari is the last railway station in India on the Amritsar-Lahore line.
