Attention Passengers..! Often there is a complaint about the food and dishes served during the journey in the train. Sometimes about quantity, sometimes about quality.
Railways has now started efforts to take initiatives to address these complaints. For this, the railways is now surveying long distance passengers about the quality of your food.
You have to answer 40 questions
You must be aware that IRCTC or Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation is responsible for the catering arrangements in the railways. It is to be known that only IRCTC is conducting this survey. You may be asked these questions during the journey or even on the platform. Under this, 40 questions will be asked from the passengers on six different topics. You will have to fill these questions online, which will be in regional languages apart from Hindi and English. Its objective will be to improve the quality of food and cuisine and to prepare food according to the taste of the passengers. This includes breakfast, lunch and dinner in the morning and evening.
The passengers have been divided into four categories in the survey.
Praveen Sharma, Area Officer, Dhanbad, IRCTC and Panchwanand of Koderma say that through this we will tell the passengers about the quality of the food, from the packaging, the variety of the menu, hygiene, to the behavior of the staff. We will also find out what percentage of the passengers are vegetarian, non-vegetarian or just egg eaters or agaterians. The survey has not only been divided into four classes for the passengers between 18 and 61 years, male and female, will also collect information about educational qualification etc.
Will also be asked in AC-Non AC and Sleeper
This survey of IRCTC will not run only in AC bogie, it will be done from passengers traveling in sleeper class also. On the basis of this survey, the corporation will select food-dishes or dishes for different routes in future, so that the regular passengers of that train will like railway food.
