New Delhi | The Central Government is going to give a special gift to the railway passengers in the month of August. This news related to the country’s semi-high speed train Vande Bharat Express will give an opportunity to those traveling by railways to celebrate unlimited happiness.
Let us tell you that the two Vande Bharat trains launched in the year 2019 have covered 14 lakh kilometers. Now the Railway Minister has announced that the upgraded version of Vande Bharat will be launched in the month of August.
Preparation to run 75 high speed Vande Bharat trains
Vande Bharat train is getting a lot of appreciation by the passengers due to less travel time and more facilities than other trains. Keeping this in mind, preparations are on to increase the number of Vande Bharat trains across the country. Indian Railways is planning that a total of 75 high-speed Vande Bharat trains will be run by August 15, 2023. At present, only two Vande Bharat trains are running from New Delhi to Katra and New Delhi to Varanasi.
Maximum speed of 220 kmph
The Railway Minister said that the upgraded version of Vande Bharat will be much more advanced than the existing train. Currently, the maximum speed of Vande Bharat is 160 kmph. The maximum speed of its second upgraded version will be 180 kmph and the third upgraded version will run at a speed of 220 kmph.
6 Vande Bharat trains will run every month
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the central government is making full preparations to put 75 Vande Bharat trains on track by August 15, 2023. In such a situation, there is a plan to run 5 to 6 Vande Bharat trains every month from August 2022 onwards. He said that in the coming time, there is a plan to start Vande Bharat trains on the respective routes by replacing Intercity, Shatabdi and Jan Shatabdi trains. The Railway Minister said that the new Vande Bharat will be equipped with many state-of-the-art facilities.
