On this initiative started by Northern Railway, Delhi Divisional Railway Manager Dimpy Garg has said that for the first time, Packaged Drinking Water Bottles were transported by Delhi Division. Another effort was made in the direction of development and providing convenient service to the traders.
Its positive results have also started coming. In this, a trader can also send his goods in a wagon. As a result, operations were carried out from Ghaziabad station of the division to Shaalchapara station of Assam (Lamding division of Northeast Frontier Railway) by loading of packaged water bottles in piecemeal wagons.
DRM said that small and medium traders will benefit immensely from this effort. Their goods will be delivered quickly to the destination. Railways will also get revenue benefit. To ensure that the goods of the traders arrive on time, arrangements have also been made to track them by the Divisional Control. The first such loading successfully was a BCN.
