Railway took a big decision
Corona cases are increasing continuously in the country. All the state governments are imposing restrictions at their own level. Night curfew and weekend curfew have been implemented in many states due to increasing infection. At the same time, in some states, guidelines have been given for passengers traveling by railways and other traffic. Under this, the Railways has taken a big decision in view of the increasing cases of Corona.
Entry in train will not be available without vaccination
Southern Railway has come out with a new rule for those traveling in local trains. Under this, entry will not be given in the station or train without getting the corona vaccine. The ‘No Vaccine, No Entry’ policy has been implemented in local trains. That is, the vaccine has been made mandatory for the passengers. Even if a passenger has taken a single dose there, they will not be given entry to travel in the train.
Certificate of Vaccination to be shown
Railways has also said that it will be mandatory for railway passengers to follow the guidelines issued regarding Corona. It will also be mandatory for the passengers to show the certificate of vaccination while issuing the travel ticket or Monthly Season Ticket (MST). Tickets will be issued only to those who have the certificate of vaccination. In view of this move of Southern Railway, similar rules can be implemented in other places as well.
