TDR will have to be filed after taking ticket from the counter
If you have bought a railway ticket from the arrival ticket counter and that train has been canceled due to any reason, then your ticket will be considered as cancelled. For its refund, you need to file TDR (Ticket Deposit Receipt). After this you get a refund for the railway ticket.
How to file TDR?
For the refund of railway ticket through TDR, you must first go to the official website of IRCTC. Here you have to login. Submit the PNR number, train number and captcha code by going to the TDR link. Then OTP has to be entered. Then you will see the complete details of PNR. After that click on the refund option. After this a confirmation message will be sent on your mobile screen. Then you will have to give the details of the bank account in which you want to get the refund. By completing this process, you will get refund for the canceled ticket of the train.
