The Ministry of Railways has extended its Covid-19 guidelines for six months or till further instructions.
New Delhi. There is important news for the people traveling by rail in the festive season. Actually, keeping in mind the safety of the passengers, the Ministry of Railways has extended its Covid-19 Guidelines for six months or till further instructions. According to the order, non-wearing of masks in railway premises and trains can attract a fine of up to Rs 500.
Earlier, on April 17, 2021, special guidelines were issued by the Indian Railways regarding the wearing of masks by the people at the stations. In the new notification issued by the Railways, referring to the notification issued on April 17, it has been said that the guidelines are being extended till April 16, 2022 or further instructions. The validity of the old notification was expiring on October 16 this month.

In the last 24 hours in the country, 22 thousand cases of Covid-19,
Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Luv Aggarwal said that in the last 24 hours, about 22 thousand cases of Covid-19 have been registered in the country. Even today, on an average, around 20,000 cases are coming in the country every day. Last week 56 percent of the Covid cases have been registered from Kerala.
Agarwal said that there are 5 states where still more than 10 thousand active cases remain. There are around 1,22,000 active cases in Kerala. There are close to 36,000 active cases in Maharashtra. Tamil Nadu, Mizoram and Karnataka also have a high number of active cases.
