TDR will have to be filled for refund
Refund is given on cancellation of untravelled ticket from the railway side. However, for its refund, you will have to first fill the TDR. For this, first of all go to IRCTC website www.irctc.co.in. Here select the option of My Account. Here you will get the option of My Transaction in the drop down menu.
Here by selecting the option of File TDR, TDR has to be filled by selecting any one option. The information related to the passenger will be displayed on your screen. After this, by entering the PNR, train number captcha etc., click on the box of cancellation rules and click on submit.
Now OTP will come on your registered mobile. Verify your PNR details by entering OTP. After doing this process, select the option of Canceled Ticket. Now you will see the refund amount on the screen. The confirmation message will come on the given number while booking the ticket.
