In this regard, a letter has been issued by the Railway Board to the General Managers of all its zones and production units. In the order letter issued by Joint Director (Establishment) D Joseph, it was said that Indian Railways was advised to review the unaffected periodic transfer orders of employees working in sensitive posts and the pandemic COVID-19. The letter further stated that in view of the ongoing pandemic situation, the matter has been further reviewed by the Board at the request of both the Railway Associations i.e. AIRF and NFIR and it has been decided by the Competent Authority to Periodic transfer orders of employees are kept pending till December 30, 2021.
