Indian Railways IRCTC: Good News! Festive special trains will run on this route from October 15, know detials

At the same time, during the second quarter of 2021-22, with the easing of corona restrictions and the beginning of the festive season, the Railways has registered a growth of 113 percent in earnings from the passenger section as compared to the first quarter. This information came to light in response to an RTI query.



Indian Railways has decided to run special trains on many routes in view of the festivals, while increasing the frequency of trains in some places. Weekly festival special train will be run between Shahpur Patori in Bihar, Barauni via Hajipur and Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh so that passengers do not face any problem. 01901 Gwalior-Barauni Festival Express will run on every Friday from October 15 to November 26, 2021. It will depart at 7.25 am, while will reach Barauni at 7 am the next day.

The return train of the same route 01902 Barauni – Gwalior Festival Special will run from 16 October to 27 November and will run on every Saturday. This train will open at 9.15 am and will reach Gwalior at 9.30 am the next day. Talking to a local Hindi newspaper, Rajesh Kumar, CPRO of East Central Railway said that this will be a special train, in which all the bogies will be reserved. Also, those traveling will have to follow the corona rules.



Meanwhile, Railways has increased the frequency of Indore-Kochuveli Weekly Express train. According to the Railway Public Relations Department, this train will now run from Indore till January 31 and from Kochuveli till January 29. At the same time, to avoid overcrowding and inconvenience during the festive season, Southern Railway has also run some special fare trains.

Train No. 06003 Tambaram – Nagercoil Superfast Special Fare special train will depart Tambaram station at 9.40 PM on 13 October & 03 November 2021. The train will reach Nagercoil Railway Station at 09.30 am the next day. In return direction Train No. 06004 Nagercoil – Tambaram Superfast Special Fare special train will depart from Nagercoil Railway Station at 4.15 PM on 17 October and 07 November 2021 and will reach Tambaram Railway Station at 04.10 AM the next day.

Similarly 06003 will depart from Tambaram station at 9:40 pm and will arrive at Nagercoil at 9:30 am on its way to Chengalpattu at 10:08 pm, Villupuram at 11:50 pm, Tiruchirappalli at 2:25 pm, Dindugal at 3 pm. It will stop at :42 am, Madurai at 4:45 am, Virudhunagar at 5:28 am, Sattur at 5:51 am, Kovilpatti at 6:13 am, Tirunelveli at 7:45 am.

For most of the last year, the railways’ earnings from passenger fares remained very low during the temporary suspension of regular railway services. So far, the Railways has restored 96 percent of train services that were operated before Kovid. Presently railways is running special trains and regular services have not started fully yet.
