Special train (No. 01817/01818) Lucknow-Meerut City-Lucknow Superfast train will run daily. Train No. 01817 will start from Lucknow at 2:45 pm daily from 18th August and will reach Meerut at around 22:30 pm on the same day.
Indian Railways, IRCTC: In view of the continuous decrease in Kovid cases, Indian Railways has decided to start many special trains on new routes for the convenience of passengers. In this episode, now the Northern Railway has shared the information about the start of new special trains by tweeting.
According to Northern Railway, Indian Railways will run two pairs of special trains on Lucknow, Jhansi and Meerut routes in Uttar Pradesh. Railways has decided to operate special trains on Lucknow, Meerut and Jhansi lines after the state government relaxed the COVID-19 curfew.
A Northern Railway official said that trains will be operated between Lucknow Junction, Jhansi Junction and Meerut Junction. According to the official, all the passengers coming in the special trains will have to strictly follow the COVID-19 appropriate behavior. We will ensure that social distancing and cleanliness of trains is maintained.
Special train number 01817/01818 Lucknow-Meerut City-Lucknow Superfast train will run daily. Train No. 01817 will start from Lucknow at 2:45 pm daily from 18th August and will reach Meerut at around 22:30 pm on the same day. Train number 01818 will depart from Meerut at 6:40 am from 19th August and will reach Lucknow at 3:05 pm.
Both the trains will halt at Balmau, Hardoi, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Rampur, Moradabad, Amroha, Hapur. Both the trains will have three tier AC, AC chair car, chair car and second class sleeper coach.
