Indian Railways IRCTC is again restoring this facility in trains in which second class unreserved coaches were added before the Covid period. Railway Board has issued an order in this regard. This is a big relief for lakhs of railway passengers.
Indain Railways NEWS Railways has announced a big gift to the common passengers on Shivratri. General coaches will now be added to trains across the country including Dhanbad as before. The way trains used to run with general coaches before the Covid period, now they will run again. Railway Board Director Passenger Marketing Vipul Sanghal issued an order related to this on Monday. This decision of Railway Board is a matter of great relief for lakhs of railway passengers. Now passengers who will not get reserved tickets in trains can travel with normal class tickets.
Coaches will start joining as soon as the date of advance reservation is over
In the order issued by the Railways, it has been said that before the Covid period, in the trains in which second class unreserved coaches were attached, this facility should be restored again. Those trains in which second class reserved coaches were attached, only reserved coaches should be added. Along with regular trains, reserved and unreserved general coaches should also be added in festival special and summer special trains as before. The new system of railways will be effective from the advance reservation period i.e. after four months. Also, those trains in which reservation for general coach has not been made, they will be effective from the same date.
Now remove the requirement of post office and pin code
Arun Joshi, representative of Rajya Sabha member Mahesh Poddar and DRUCC member of Ranchi Railway Division, said that the decision of the Railways is in the interest of common passengers. Now for the reserved category passengers also, the requirement of giving state, district, post office and pin code should be done away with as it is causing a lot of trouble to the common passengers.
General and reserved general coaches are being restored in trains as before. This will also be applicable in the currently running festival special trains. This arrangement of Railways will be applicable from the day of the end of advance reservation period in trains or will be applicable from the day on which there will be no reservation.
