Indian Railways is going to start Shri Jagannath Yatra tourist train from 25th January. This train has been started under Bharat Gaurav initiative which will cover major heritage and pilgrimage sites of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Jharkhand. Apart from taking passengers to the Jagannath Temple in Puri, this train also includes travel to the ancient holy city of Gaya, Varanasi and Baidyanath Dham Temple in Deoghar, Jharkhand. This means that this train will offer 33% concession.
When will the train leave?
The train will start its journey from Delhi’s Safdarjung Railway Station on January 25 and return on February 1. Tourists will also have the option to board or deboard the train at Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Tundla, Kanpur, Etawah and Lucknow stations.

In this regard, IRCTC has issued a statement that the launch of Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train will be in line with the Government of India’s initiative Dekho Apna Desh to promote domestic tourism. According to the statement, these packages will start from Rs 17655 per person.
This 7 night 8 day journey –
This journey will be of 7 nights and 8 days, in which Varanasi will be the first city. Tourists will be given a tour of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, a corridor connecting it to the ghats of the river Ganges, and you will be able to be a part of the Aarti that takes place on its banks.
The train will go to Baidyanath Dham Temple –
After this the train will go to Jharkhand, from here tourists will leave for Baidyanath Dham temple and travel to Puri. Arrangements have also been made to stay for two nights in hotels here. In this, tourists will get to see the Golden Beach of Puri, the Jagannath Temple and the Sun Temple at Konark. Gaya will be the last destination from where the train will return to Delhi on February 1, the eighth day of its journey.
