Duplicate ticket can be made
If your confirmed ticket is lost and your journey is essential, you can get a duplicate ticket from the counter. It needs to be noted that duplicate ticket is issued only on confirmed and RAC tickets.
How much will be the charge
If you are going to make a duplicate ticket, then you will have to pay a charge of Rs 50 for the sleeper category and Rs 100 for other categories. At the same time, 25 percent of the ticket amount will have to be paid for the ticket that has been cut or damaged.
Can also get refund
Duplicate ticket is generated after the reservation chart is prepared for the canceled ticket. On the other hand, for confirmed tickets and RAC tickets, duplicate tickets are made even before chart preparation. According to another rule of the Railways, if the lost ticket is found and a duplicate ticket has been made, then you can take a refund of the duplicate ticket. However, refund will be issued after deducting Rs 20 or 5 per cent.
You can get refund even if you have not traveled
