Keeping in view the facilities and needs of the passengers, Indian Railways has given the facility of booking rail tickets from the post office as well.
At present, the people of UP can take advantage of this facility started by IRCTC i.e. people living in Uttar Pradesh can book train tickets from the post office. This facility has been started at 9147 post office.
This new facility of IRCTC was launched by the Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh.
Keeping in mind the facilities of the passengers during the Corona period, the Railways has started many special facilities, so that the passengers can travel with complete safety.
The people living in rural areas will benefit the most from this special facility of railways. Many times people living in remote villages have trouble getting tickets, but under this facility, they can also book tickets from the post office.
Let us tell you that due to the fast-spreading Omicron in the country, travel only by wearing a mask in the train and following the guide line of Corona. If you travel in a train without a mask, you may have to pay a fine of up to Rs 500.
