Indian Railways is giving big gifts before Shivratri. Now a new train will be run till Deoghar. After approving the new train Gomtinagar-Gorakhpur-Devghar, the board released the schedule on the proposal of NER.
After running Amrit Bharat for Ayodhya Dham, Railways has given a big gift to the pilgrims going to Babadham before Shivratri. Approval has been received to run a new express train of NE Railway from Gomtinagar to Deoghar via Gorakhpur. NER has now started preparations for its launch. It is likely that this service will start in the first week of February. At present the new train will run once a week. Later, its frequency can be increased as per the demand of the passengers.
With the start of the new train service, there will be a lot of convenience for the devotees/passengers going to Babadham (Devghar). Currently there are two trains for this place. One is Kathgodam to Howrah Bagh Express and the other is Gorakhpur to Kolkata Purvanchal Express. There is always a fight for a seat in Bagh. Even in Purvanchal, there is a lot of fighting for seats during Dussehra and Sawan.
Waiting time in trains crosses 100. In Sawan, hundreds of devotees are forced to travel to Deoghar by road. During this period, a special train is run but it proves inadequate. In such a situation, if the train runs only till Deoghar, more passengers will easily get seats.
Board’s approval on NER’s proposal
NE Railway had sent a proposal to the Board to run a new train from Gomtinagar to Deoghar, accepting which the Board has released the schedule. Notification regarding number of bogies and train number will be issued soon.
